OMG (this was supposed to be up earlier)

As a book nerd you get really excited when things like this happen!

So Wendy Higgins, the author of the Sweet Evil series started following me on twitter! I'm so happy because I'm such a huge fan!

Just wanted to blog about this!
@mindcrazed is me on twitter by the way so follow, tweet and retweet if you feel like it.

#readingforuni and fanfics

Hi everyone! I just though I'd share the book I'm currently reading for a course at the university.

This is what I'm doing right now, reading for school. Anyway the book as you can see is "Adventures on the high teas" by Stuart Maconie. It's probably not a book I would have chosen to read for fun but it is actually quite entertaining once you get into it. Don't know if I'm gonna review this or not but I guess you'll see.

I'd also like to as we say in Sweden "slå ett slag för" (don't even try to translate that because it turns out wrong) fanfictions. Basically what I'm saying is that you should all try reading fanfictions. It's so amazing in different ways. Tonight for example I read one based on Teen Wolf where hopefully things turn out different than in the show. (Totally love the Hale boys by the way). I've also read a lot based on my favorite books. So you should all really give it a try! Go to fanfiction.net (can't link it when I'm blogging from my phone, sorry) and just start browsing stories and use different filters. My pen name on there is mindcrazed but I've only posted one story which is pretty bad so don't get your hopes up.

I'm gonna read some more for school and then hug my pillow and hopefully wake well rested for school tomorrow.

Talk to you tomorrow!

xx Kayla

John Green the collection

Hi guys. Just wanted to hop in and to a quick post about the package I got in the mail today. I'm blogging from my phone so it might not be esthetically pleasing but anyway.

So this came in the mail today. So happy that it only took two days to get it! It's a really crappy iPhone photo with a filter but it'll have to do!

It's the John Green collection! So happy about this. I've been wanting to read these for a while. Anyway, in this collection is:
Looking for Alaska
An abundance of Katherines
Paper Towns
Will Grayson, Will Grayson
The Fault in our Stars

Hopefully I'll get some time to read these soon. Along with all of the other books that are patiently waiting for me.

I'll try to do a post about my book haul for September soon, excluding John Green of course since I've done that here. I'll review these books when I've read them.

See you again soon! xx Kayla

Just had to

I just had to post this! I find it suiting. One of my friends posted this in my class' facebook group. We're all currently studying the grammar of the English language!

You should check out this page for some fun, interesting points on grammar. I was going to post it on here put it wouldn't work, not sure why!

This is me!

Hi again, I'm back!

So about me, I'm not really that interesting but I figured some of you might like to know who's writing this.

My name is Michaela (called Kayla) and I am 20 years old and I live in a town called Eskilstuna in Sweden. Swedish is my first language though I'm sometimes seriously wondering if that's really true.

In my earlier post I mentioned school so I'll explain that a bit. I just started my second (of five!) year at university here in Eskilstuna. I'm studying to become a teacher at gymnasiet, which in Britain would be Upper Secondary School and in the US High School. I will be teaching Swedish and English.

When I'm not in school I spend time with my fiancée Markus and our (almost) six year old rottweiler Nova. We just moved to a new apartment so now we have our own bedroom (wohoooo!).

Now to why I'm doing this. I've loved reading as long as I can remember, of course I don't like readin all things, espeacially not for school. My favourite genre I'd say is paranormal romance, probably because Twilight (Stephenie Meyer) is what got me hooked on books. In the last year however I've gotten into the Crossfire genre reading books such as the Fifty Shades trilogy (E.L James) and the Crossfire series (Sylvia Day). My most recent discovery is the Trylle series by Amanda Hocking, having only read the first I can't really say much about it other than the fact that I loved it!
What books I've read/want to read and liked/disliked will be in another post later, hopefully today but I make no promises.

I also love writing myself. I've written alot of fanfictions for different books and tv shows/movies but I've only posted one online, most of the things I've written aren't even finished.

That's a bit about, you'll probably find more out later on.

I'd also like to say that I'm on both fanfiction.net and wattpad, my username is mindcrazed on both sites. If you'd like to follow me on Instagram you are more than welcome to, there my username is eeelas .

I'll talk to you soon!

xx Kayla

Trying

Hello everyone (if there's actually anyone reading this)!

I've been thinking about this for a while and thought that I might as well try it. Better to have tried and failed than not try at all right?

Anyway, what I was thinking was that I would start a bookblog, now you're all probably thinking "what the hell? hasn't that been done like a million times before?", yes it has been done before, but that's not going to stop me from doing it. You want to know why? I love books, I love reading, I love writing and the reason I'm doing it in English is because I love English, simple as that.

I'm thinking I'll do a post about me and then some posts about favourite books and stuff like that. I was also thinking that I'd review some books on here but that'll have to wait until I actually have time to read any. School is pretty hectic right now and it's probably only going to get worse.

I wanted to thank those of you who are here reading this but also my classmate Isabelle at Bellas bokblogg (press the link to get there, it's in swedish just so you know, if you don't know swedish, too bad for you, haha). Anyway huge thanks to Bella for actually giving me the courage to do this, lots of hugs to you!

I'll be back soon with some posts. Have an amazing day/afternoon/evening wherever you may be!
